The short version
- Gift certificates never expire — there is no “too late”.
- If the Experience Provider cannot deliver your experience, you get a full refund, always.
- Your legal rights under Alberta consumer protection law are never limited by this policy.
1. The provider cannot deliver
If an Experience Provider cancels, closes, or otherwise cannot deliver the experience on a certificate or booking — and no alternative date works for you — we refund the full amount paid, including any add-ons for that order. Email hello@feelit.ca and we will arrange it.
2. Changing a booked date or time
Rescheduling is always free. There is no rebooking fee at any notice level — a change either can be made or it cannot.
- 48 hours or more before the booked time: we rebook you to any other available slot, free — reply to your confirmation email or write to hello@feelit.ca. Up to two self-service changes per booking; further changes are arranged through support.
- Less than 48 hours before the booked time: changes are at the Experience Provider’s discretion (their staff and equipment are already committed) — with two exceptions where the change is always granted:
- your original spot is re-booked by someone else (the provider lost nothing); or
- illness or injury supported by a practitioner’s note — one such change per booking.
- The provider cancels or weather stops the activity: your choice — a free rebooking (the provider will offer at least three alternative slots within 30 days) or a full refund under section 1.
- No-shows (missing the booked time without notice) are treated as the experience delivered and are not refundable, unless the Experience Provider chooses to restore the booking.
3. Gift certificates
- Not yet sent to the recipient and not activated: within 30 days of purchase we will refund it in full on request — no questions asked.
- Already sent or activated: the certificate belongs to the moment now — it is not refundable, except where section 1 (provider failure) or your statutory rights apply. Remember it never expires, so the recipient can use it whenever they are ready.
- A redeemed (used) certificate is not refundable.
4. Your statutory rights (Alberta)
Alberta’s Internet Sales Contract Regulation gives consumers cancellation rights in specific cases — for example, if required information was not disclosed before purchase or a copy of the contract was not delivered within 15 days. Where such a right is exercised, we refund all consideration paid within 15 days of cancellation, as the Regulation requires. Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy under the Consumer Protection Act (Alberta) or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
5. How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. We aim to issue them within 5 business days of agreeing the refund (and always within any legally required deadline); your bank may take a few more days to post it.
- Any tax charged on a refunded amount is refunded with it.
- If you are considering a card chargeback — please contact us first at hello@feelit.ca. We resolve almost everything faster directly.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@feelit.ca from the address used for the purchase, with your order number or certificate code. We reply within 2 business days.
